How often does the Umnumzaan pivot come loose?

I always found the umnumzaan's lack of bushing system a bit disappointing.

So, to the umnumzaan owners, how often does the pivot have to be cleaned out and adjusted? Pros and cons etc.

Had two for a couple months now I guess and they are both still functioning pristinely. Nothing loose no need for grease. I have the take down tools but have not needed to open either one yet. I work in a very dusty enviroment too.

I look at it this way CR knows how to build knives way better than me and so far I completely trust their products. I really do not feel the Um deserves some of the negative feedback it gets just b/c its newere design from the Seb

Do you think Chris Reeve just thru the umnum together ?

Do you think he would go backwards ?

Mine are smooth as silk....lock up is awesome, release is as good as it gets.....no play of any type....sweet knife blaze !!

Both can't be better but paradoxically they can both work well

Mine has never come loose. I took it apart cleaned it and have used it for a week. Still holding tight

Doesn't it come with loctite on the pivot? It would be great if it wasn't needed
