I'm new to them.

How long have you had yours and how has it held up?

Any unusual uses?

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he'll be a mile way - and barefoot.

Holding up excellently. The thumbstud was "trimmed" a bit by the previous owner, as well as the thumbstud indent "scalloped" and smoothed. I've actually grown to like it quite a bit, and use it alot.

Strangest (or hardest) uses so far has been scoring drywall, trimming and stripping back insulation on 240V household cable, and cutting old coolant hoses off of several engines over the years as I've done head gaskets, water pumps, etc., on them. The blade-to-wire and blade-to-hose-fitting use had no effect at all on the blade, though I expected some dulling due to the metal contact. Nope. Nada. This is an awesome knife, and if I ever lost this one, I'd get another right away. I can't imagine being without a Sebenza these days.

Oldest one I have was made in 1991, large old style, still locks up reliably and is very sharp, in comparison the older one seems to have a thinner edge geometry than the newer ones and push cuts better.
