Hi all, this is my first post. I have been lurking around the forums for a while and I'm wondering how old one needs to be to become a beckerhead. Thanks for any replies.

Forum rules say you must be atleast 13 years old to join the forum. So theres your answer.

Well that's a fine how-do-you-do! Where's the introduction? Welcome and good luck raising becker funds. Even us adults have to work extra and save up for our coveted blades.

What bighoss said. Get to mowing thos lawns, raking leaves, shoveling snow. I find my parents didnt (dont?) really care about the knives as long as I worked for them and paid for them with my money.

Yeah when I was a kid I paid for my knives with my own money, somehow. Most of it was probably from an allowance that didn't require much work but it wasn't much allowance either. Before I could drive I had two fullsize Ka-Bars, a glock field knife and a bunch of other stuff that's not really worth mentioning but cost a decent amount of scratch. But for some reason my mom wouldn't let me get a machete, anything else was fine pretty much. Probably had something to do with me and my brother's fascination with horror movies like Friday the 13th at the time. I even bought my dad a stacked leather USMC F/U for Christmas once.

It's funny that at 12 I was buying and carrying knives (except at school) and watching Nightmare on Elm St. and Texas Chainsaw Massacre yet nothing bad happened. I even knew how to shoot too.

You have to be 18 in my state to make the purchase. If you can get your mom or dad to support your habit then 13 as stated above. :)
