How old does one have to be to carry a knife in Texas?

A simple question, but one I have been pondering greatly. If a knife is not over 5.5 inches in length, not a switchblade, etc. (a legal knife), that was bought with parent's consent, what is the legal age to carry a pocketknife for EDC in Texas?
ARGH! Stupid title. I meant it to be how OLD.
 
Why not have one of your parents call or better yet take you to the Local Police and ask them? If you were my son I would have the police sign some kind of carry permit based on the legal opinion they provided.

I've carried a knife since I was about 6 or 7 and I think it's a shame that kids today don't have the same rights and freedoms that I had as a child, but they are gone. You don't have to agree with the system to work legally within it.
