How Old Is My Dad's Case Pen Knife

I inherited a Case small pen knife from my father and I hope somebody can tell me when it was made. It has clip and pen blades, a jigged brown synthetic handle and is 2 5/8" when closed. The pen blade is worn down to a needle point and the clip point is broken off about half-way to the point. The clip point has the following markings next to the bolster:

CASE XX
USA

Will appreciate any help somebody can give me.

I would need a clear picture of the tang stamp to know for sure. Here is a good reference list to help you get started.

If you get it narrowed down to whichever one it matches, let us know and we can help you further. You should be able to find the exact year if it was made 1970 or after.

Be sure to work blade back and forth and look for dots under USA. If there are dots they can sometimes hide behind the bolster and you have to move the blade on its pivot to see them.

Here's an example of what I mean. This is the only position that the dots can be seen on this knife with a stainless steel blade and even in that position they are almost hidden.

Railsplitter,

I worked the blade back and forth and examined it under a bright light with a magnifying glass and there are no dots on it. So I'm going to assume, like Wazu013 stated, that it was made somewhere between 1965 - 1969.

Thanks for your help
