How old is my Victorinox?

Greetings. I recently picked up an older Victorinox Camping knife at a garage sale for $3. It's like the newer camping models, but it doesn't have scissors, the large blade is serrated, and the small blade is a pruning blade -which I'm way digging since I enjoy foraging and gardening. Also, the "Camping" and tipi, as well as the Victoriox emblem on the front scale is in a metal inlay, which leads me to believe this is an older model -anyone able to confirm this? This is the first Victorinox I've owned in my adult life; and it's been one of those things that, once discovered, you can't live with out. I don't think I will ever carry a single blade by it's self again. I'm a believer! Another thing, there is a small bend in the tip of the pruning blade which I would really like to have fixed. Anyone know where I could send it into to get it straightened out?

Hello, what kind tang stamp it has? Does it have otherside crossbow and small cross? What does it say in tang? Could you post some pictures? Also, Victorinox do carry lifetime warranty, so they should be able to fix it.

The main blade says Elinox with I guess what could be a crossbow, or an umbrella. I would post pics but we recently reformatted our computer and we can't seem to find the CD that has program which would allow us to download pics to the computer.

Well, I found to separate suggestions based on Elinox. Elinox was trademark that were started using from 1975. My oldest SAK were bought in 1992. There were no Elinox trademark them. So I make uneducated guess and say between 1975 and 1990. Its bit broad but I think your knife can be late 70's or early 80's possible. Still its old. More than 20 years. Still, its a real keeper.

You're welcome. I hope you can straighten the pruning blade. You have a wonderful knife there. Carry it well :)

I went to the Smartknives site and found this:

It's called the Victorinox Camper with Pruner
Very rare! Congratulations! :D

EDITED to add: what's to say you can't send it to Victorinox to have the bend straightened? Wouldn't there be a good chance it can be done under warranty?
