How Old is the BK series?

I understand KaBar has been around AWHILE. How long has the BK series been being made? The BK2?

I belive they started being manufactured in the mid 80's. Ofcourse I wasnt around back then so im not positive.

Yeah, it is at least 25 years old, because Tradewater just celebrated his silver anniversary with his. Pretty amazing testament to a quality working knife.
