how old is this knife?

I have a Western knife inherited from my Grandfather and I would like to know old it is. It has "L58" stamped on the blade. Any ideas?

There were two versions of the Western model #L58. The first one featured a 5" blade, without a blood groove, and measured 9 1/8" long. This knife is shown in the 1941 Western catalog. A second version that was first offered in 1959 had a 5 1/4" blade with a blood groove and measured 9 3/8" long. Both knives had the milled leather handles.
