How or what do you carry your knives in?

Just wondering what type of bag or pouch some of you carry your knives from inside the house to outside, or if you travel to somewhere else to throw?

For instance, I have no knives under 10.75" and most are 12" or longer, and carrying 6-10 of them from downstairs to up and outside one or more times a day is wearing out the box I'm using. Just seems like there must be better ideas, but not like a giant duffle bag or back packs necessarily.

So, what do you use to carry multiple and/or heavier knives in to tote them around?

I'm looking at Band gear totes like; drum stick bags, flute case carry cover totes, etc...

I've been wanting to sew up a custom sheath... But leather working is not easy.

You can probably make yourself a drawstring bag, if you're just looking for using them around your house.

I'd say those ideas you have going on are good; existing cases that is.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out the internet (ebay, etc...) for both range bags and music gear bags. Sounds like just what I'm looking for. I'll also hit the 'Music-go Round' stores around here locally to see what they have for such bag/totes new and used.

I'll post anything I find and pics if they work out.

Consider a bucket.

Actually I did! More like a car washing pail, but then I wanted to put them on the counter top by the deck door, and in places the wife didn't like seeing it. Plus, I have been bringing them to my local gun club where I am allowed to throw at the archery range off to the side. So in the car I would like a bag/tote of sorts.

Update - I have both a music gear drumstick bag, and a padded flute case carry case, and have slightly modded them so the pointed tips don't destroy them. Looks like the answer, but the knives are heavier than the cases intended uses.

I guess time will tell...

I've actually a friend that is a Chef and takes his own knives to work.
He has the PERFECT solution to lots of throwing knives.... it's actually a ROLL OUT case that you can slip like.... 10 or more knives into, and then it all rolls up and ties up for travel. Pretty neat. I don't know who makes them but I'm sure you can find it....
