How rare are the roll stamped BK shorts?

I picked up a new BK17 that is roll stamped the other day. None of the ugly first production etching crap or anything. Didn't even know thats what I was getting. How rare are they? I know Moose had them for sale for a while but I haven't seen any others for sale. Just thought I'd check.
 
Picked up where? New? From a store? online store? Individual?

I prefer the roll-stamps to the new laser etch. I would NOT mind finding a 17 with a roll stamp LOL

Perhaps one just ''slipped'' through? The non-FPR marked roll stamped tweeners are supposed to be VERY VERY rare.
 
I got it on another forum. Didn't even know what I was getting.

Most of them went to SMKW etched.
I don't know exact numbers, but the roll-stamped without etching are considerably more uncommon.
I bought one of Moose's because I wanted a complete set of roll-stamped, non-etched Shorts.
Rare or not, I'm going to use the snot out of them.
 
Thats what I was thinking. I will likely put it in the exchange so maybe someone who will appreciate its rarity can have it. $100 fair?
 
I actually don't get the urge for the roll-stamped ones. Seems like the laser etched ones have a better chance of the knife alignment not being adversely impacted.
