How rare has the zt 0302 become? Any clue why ZT hasn't brought them back?

I've been looking for one for a while and am seeing a descent amount of for sale a month yet are being mentioned as discontinued /RARE. I read before the 0302 was dropped because of lack of sales yet now there seems to be a demand for them especially with NCIS. Any clue why ZT hasnt brought them back?
 
I've been looking too, but I can't find one at a price I like. It seems the zt30x has stayed around msrp. The one I did see on the exchange went immediately.
 
I have a 300bw on eBay that is selling rather high right now. High enough I'm thinking about putting my 300s on there. Those knives will always be in demand.
 
I'm not sure it was dropped because of low sales, it's just been out forever and they want to free up production for new models. There's literally 10s of thousands of 030Xs out there.

I think the 0302 was a limited edition that was discontinued before Gibbs ever started using it.
 
There is a new ZT0303 that still appears to be for sale on the exchange from the 1st of April.
 
I believe the 030X's are discontinued as of now, so the possibility of seeing a 0302 is even more remote.

Back in 2009, I asked a dealer if they had any - they were on backorder. I settled on the 0301 instead.
 
I ran across some ZT302's in a store. Old stock. Bought them for $210, sold very quickly for $400. When ever they do pop up for sale, they are bought quick. The ZT302 and the ZT500 are highly sought after for any ZT collector, or fan of hard use knives. I had the privileged of owning several ZT302's and the ZT500's at one point, but I really don't like safe queens, so they were sold at a considerable profit.

All the ZT 030x have been discontinued except for 0301. You can still find most of the discontinued ones at reasonable prices except for the highly sought after 0302 which has been out of circulation the longest.
 
The ZT30x series will always be one of my favorite. I never did own the 0302, but I do have the 0303 and 0301.
 
ZT 0302 - are we talking 0301 with Tiger Stripe? If so, I never cared for that look.

Same tiger stripe blade, just desert tan handle instead of green like the ZT 301

ZT300- Blade Blade, black handle
ZT301- Tiger stripe blade, green handle
ZT302- Tiger Stripe blade, desert tan handle
ZT303- Tiger Stripe blade, black handle
 
ZT 030x series from top to bottom: 0300, 0300ST, 0300BW, 0301, 0302 and 0303.

My only, a 301. I would love to get more but the knife budget won't allow it.
