how sharp can you get infi.........

will it shave your face..........not your arm, your leg......

This guy has a few videos - here he is using a KZII to shave - its pretty unreal the level of talent both in shaving, and sharpening this feller has:

Think Ive seen him use a Scotch Dispenser too....

Infi is pretty easy to sharpen - I'm pretty unskilled, but can easily get infi shaving sharp enough to split hair with just ceramic rods - not even a strop or belt - but I wont try to shave my face.

I can get SR101 sharper...

what the hell? how is a knife which is sharp enough to shave your face not sharp enough to shave your arm or leg??? its the other way around dude!

P.S. it really isnt that hard to get an edge which is shaving sharp, espeically if you have a set of paper wheels! every single knife I own is that sharp including all of my kitchen knifes (which arnt serrated, no ways am i testing out a serated knife by shaving my face with it...).

I thought my knives were sharp with my paper wheels . . . until I bought a belt grinder. Now I think I'd be afraid to shave with my knives. :);)

That vid was great, thanks for posting it; and major props to LVC for making it!

That might be the first time he has shown his face in public. ;)

Anybody got the link to Ban's video where he chops the standing, empty soda can? That's sharp!

I think I could shave my face with the FACTORY edge that was on my Basic 9!!!
It's THAT sharp........even after the beating it took!!!!
Of course, that's not REAL INFI.... ;)

infi can get super sharp but i think sr101 can get just a bit sharper. sharpness also depends on how thin the edge is, although a 90 degree edge can certainly be sharp, it doesnt have the geometry to be super sharp. just my two cents.

i am glad you asked.

the first picture's are of a paul's hatchet separating metal from frame. mind you it was sharp, not shave my face sharp. but all in all sharp. the last picture's are of the paul push cutting a bill of sale's. it is not always "how sharp can i get it", but how sharp will it stay with use. in my opinion, i would rather have the later. i hope this help's in your decision of what edge you are looking for. don't get me wrong, if i want to go around the house castrating fly's, i reach for a slicer. if i want to go around the house and fell it, i reach for a busse. afterward's i can still serve peanut butter and jelly sandwich's. with the crust cut off, and in one piece. please enjoy the pic's, remember "love your infi, use your infi".
