A slightly odd quesiton.....
I have resharpened my CT using the sandpaper/mousepad method, and as always the CT becomes nice and sharp. But lately I haven't been able to make it shaving sharp, it does not shave the hair of my arm as it used to. But on the other side, I am able to slice pieces of a hanging newspaper page with no effort, so the CT is not dull!!!
I have used 1200 grit sandpaper and polished the edge to a "mirrorlike" finish this time.
Is this another type of "sharpness"? And does this have an advantage over the "shaving edge"? Or have I just done a poorly job this time?
I have read some threads here on the forums on similar topics, but would really appreciate if some of you could share your opinions and expertise on the matter.
