I use a sharpmaker saw tese tricks done here on blade fourms with what i think was cold steel.I now my spyder could do it there is a empty water bottle and typeing paper was to stronge had to go to phone book paper rolled they were cut in a standing position. Would like to see how many others can do this if you have better please share your pics thanks:cool:

It is interesting that you have a Manix and a water bottle. I did a little test on cutting up empty water bottles with my Sebenza vs. my Manix. I didn't just cut through the the middle but I also cut some of the thicker parts of the bottle. Nothing scientific but it clearly showed me that the Manix was far better at this sort of thing than the Sebenza.

The Manix won me over when it went head to head against the Sebenza in my own tests and hands and out preformed it in just about every way a knife can.

The Manix is too large for me to make it my EDC but I do think it kicks butt. I was surprised that it not only was as good as the $400 Sebenza I had but was flat out better. Not bad for a $100 knife eh?

The only downside to the Manix is that the lock-up is not as solid as the Sebenza but then what is? This is a problem I have seen in Spyderco knives and it is one of the general weaker areas of Spyderco. They tend to have some blade play. Not all of them but most of the back locks and some of the others. Sebenzas have ZERO blade play. In the four I have owned each one was as solid as a safe. That alone doesn't make them worth $300-400 in my book however because that is often the only real advantage them have over the Spydercos.

I recall a match between the Sebenza and the Manix in the British Blades forum I believe. The Manix soundly beat the Sebenza in that test too.

sebenza is more for show , in my opinion . i have a combo edge mini manix coming , and will buy a sebbie when i can affford one.

My Sharpmaker came today. I cannot believe the edge it puts on a knife. I spent decades practicing with different sharpening mediums but the Sharpmaker blows them away.
