How should I load Green Chrome on my strop

I have a 1" x 30" BELT SANDER leather strop.
How do I load it with green chrome?

Yep. Some will apply a little mineral oil to help thin the compound but it is not necessary. Just rub the compound over the leather. A crosshatch pattern, straight lines, all over the place, whatever pleases you, no need to be very heavy just a little will work

I like the OIL thing. With the end result, should the leather be GREEN? or is the grit is still in there ?

The grit will eventually be lost or work it's way deeper into the leather. Periodic application of the compound will be needed. I like to add a little bit more to my strops when they get black or stop polishing as well. And, yes, it will turn the leather at least slightly green
