Hi everyone!

I'm not a native speaker, sorry for my bad english.

So, I have a pretty "bushcraft" knife, which has an olive wooden handle. It's full tang, the blade is made from Sandvik 14C28N steel. The sheath is made from some kind of leather.

I won't use this knife for long time, so I wanna store it for a long period. I want to take care about it as much as I can, keep the knife's quality on the highest level.

My questions are:
  1. How should I maintain the olive wood handle? Oil it with some olive oil?
  2. How should I maintain the steel? It's need some oiling too?
  3. How should I maintain the leather sheath? Olive oil is decent for that?
  4. Where should I store the knife? I have a small, wooden chest for that. It is OK?
I hope you can understand me.

Thank you!

Paste wax- no olive oil.
Wax everything heavily. Store the knife out of the sheath.

Wax the handle or treat it with tung oil. Sandvik 14C28N is highly rust resistant. Just store it out of the sheath.
