I have a liner lock that the blade is off centered to the side away from the lock to the point that it is almost rubbing on the opposite liner.

Ideas as to how I go about fixing it?

It is the remaining halves of my Kershaw Leek project. It is the liner lock side from a G10 / S30V Leek, and the blade and other side from a normal steel leek.

You can see pics of the S30V, G10, steel framelock knife in a thread in the main discussion forum. That one lined up great, but the other one is pretty bad off center.

And I tried the backing the pivot screw off and pressing blade to the side trick that was linked to. No dice.

Any other suggesttions?

I have a green handled leek (liner-lock) that was off centered. I just opened the blade and tourqed it (blade) in the same direction as it was off centered. Worked for me. It's not 100% but maybe 90% centered. I learned this trick from reading a post from Tom Mayo.

Try rotating the pivot pin as I have found sometimes that sometimes if they are not perfectly cylindrical, the blade can ride to one side. Best way to do check this is to rotate the pivot screw while watching the blade tip in the closed position. If you turn the screw and notice the tip moving it's possible that you will need to set it as close to center here as possible. If there is a clip attached, remove it and see if the blade centers. My Random Task will be off centered until the hair excess screw length from the clips gets put in and forces the blade over just enough to tighten up friction and center it. Not only that but of the 3 screws for the clip, 1 is slightly longer, and if I put them back on in the wrong order I will be centering the knife for the next 2 hours and getting nowhere. Hope this helps.

I tried just torquing the blade over. No dice.

Anybody?

No disrespect, but try harder. Sometimes it takes quite a heafty "nodge" to get this to work. Maybe even placing the blade in a drawer. I use the drawer on my endtable ( I am single :D LOL) and "crank down" rather hard. (cranking down on the blade in a drawer can result in the breaking of said blade"
