How Soon to Temper

I've been doing most of knives with AEB-L with a dry ice bath right after the plate quench. The blades sit in the dry ice for about 1-1.5 hrs. I only pull them out because a have a whole batch to do.

The temper usually happens the next day as my oven needs to cool. Most recipes say to temper right away.

Am I loosing anything by not tempering right away after the dry ice bath?

I generally get about 62.5 HRC out of the dry ice but have had as high as 64 on a couple blades. I've also seen some info of HRC increasing on AEB'l after the first temper for some reason but that hasn't really been my experience. The hardness stays about the same but then drops to 61 after the second temper.
