I am a Sodbuster fan, and I like the Case large Soddie real well.

I am thinking of buying a Bull Buster, and was curious as to how stout the pull is.

Can it be easily pinched open?

Not exactly an answer to your question but Smith and Sons has had GEC make a lockback version of the 21 for them. They call it the MudBug. It is finished a level above standard GEC knives (it's impressive) and opens very easily with a pinch. I love mine!

Second that. My bull nose (Sodbuster Jr sized) can be opened with a pinch which is probably no help to you in your decision, but it's not how I'd choose to do it. My Mudbug will open with a pinch just fine; it is a fine knife.

It's a nice stout 7-8. It feels like a 6 though just do to the pinchable amount of knife in the blade. I highly recommend it as a work knife or kitchen paring substitute.
