Can someone better enlighten me to the design of the bifold? I've seen photos, and I get that it opens like a book, but...what's the advantage? I really like how it looks....

Where's it made?

There is no real advantage, it is more of a novelty folder. I guess lock failure owuld also require snapping the hinge pin or hinge. I love the look but I hate the way it golds, a solid piece of VG10 would be awesome.

I guess the advantage is that when you press the trigger to open it, it opens into your hand, so there's no grip changing. The '07 catalog has pictures of how it opens. This advantage is much like the advantage of any other auto, but with the finger hole, it's probably more secure than a knife without a finger hole.

I heard the concept came around at the same time as the SPOT, as a folding version for those people who aren't allowed to carry fixed blades. Unfortunately, they forgot about those of us who aren't allowed to carry autos (and the Australian laws for autos are very broad :thumbdn: ).

If it's VG-10, I guess it's made in Japan?
