And of course its nothing other than the truth, I see people trying to force stuff open all the time, or use the greatest cutters ever invented their car keys.

Haha! Good comic! the people who use their keys to open stuff are often the same people who recoil in horror at the sight of a knife.

Just today I got a chance to show some one the practicality and usefulness of carrying a pocket knife. I was walking through a building to deliver mail. I saw a guy I know from the Computer Service department in the hall. I said "Hey, are you installing something over here?" He said, "If I can get the tie off these cables," holding up a bundle "You don't have knife or something do you?"
Out came my trusty Eye Brand stockman and zip, zip the ties are cut and my buddy can continue with his job. I hope he learns to start carrying a pocket knife based on this incident.

Or likely he learned that you're the guy to ask when he needs something cut. People's minds often seem to work that way.

I was wrestling with a plastic package one day and my 3 year old granddaughter (who is used to seeing me with knives) says " Where's your knife Papa"? I didn't realize until then that she has already learned the usefulness of the tool as opposed to fear for no reason. Also know that I have always taught my kids total respect for these "tools". And as a martial artist, I wouldn't even recommend pulling a knife unless as an absolute last resort.
