How tight on should I tighten the pocket clip screws. Its a new spyderco tenacious with stainless steel liners. I just dont want to strip out the bosses in the liner.

If you're concerned about them backing out, I've never had it happen, but you could use a dab of purple Loctite, or Vibra-Tite, I suppose.

I just tighten 'em until they feel snug and the clip is flat to the surface of the scale. No point in overdoing it, imho.

just pit a tiny dab of blue locktite on it. I just didnt want to over tighten them. Ive seen too many stripped threads in my day, keeps me worried lol

Blue should be fine, I guess. I like #222MS for the small screws. So far, so good, even in firearms.

Check to be sure the screw(s) goes all the way through the liner. I have had some that are a tad short and just about pulled out of the plate while adjusting the clip.

If it goes all the way through then :
Tighten it until it smokes and squeaks and then give it a good full turn.
(that was a joke). My old roommate used to say that.

I actually greatly prefer purple loctite to blue for use in knives. Not only does it hold plenty tight enough for a knife but in my experience even if you do have trouble getting the screw out if you stick a purple loctited knife over night in the freezer it will become very brittle and release the screw easily.

Well, I did recommend the purple (222MS) but he went with the blue. I tried to give encouragement after the fact. :p

The purple is actually stronger than folks give it credit for. I have used it with good success on my AR to mount a white light...and when my front sight came loose on my Glock 26, (and I had nothing else on hand), I remounted the Trijicon HD front sight with purple and it's been fine for a year or so.
