How tight should the pivot pin be?

Concerning the lil temperance, how tight should the pivot pin be? One concern I have is I do not want to give any person (especially an officer of the law) any reason to doubt the legality of my knife. I do not to damage the knife be overtightening the pivot pin. I do not want the blade to open in my pocket etc. Should the pin be tight enough that it does not flip open with a flick of the wrist either up or down (I do not want the knife to be considered a gravity knife). Like Bram says, "if it's tight it's right." Is it a personal preference. Are there any rules of thumb to acheive that perfect balance. Are there concerns of overtightening. Any thoughts or considerations concerning the lil temperance would be great.
