Hey guys, how can I add a choil to my BK9 by hand? I don't want to buy a Dremel JUST for this and I have nowhere to do it.

How long would it take with a file?

It will take a LONG time with a file. I recently spent waaaay too long adding jimping to a 9 (after I cut off the thumb ramp) with a file. It was a small round file and I thought it would go quick but the 1095 is hard stuff and it did NOT go quick. So, how did I cut off the thumb ramp you ask (and transform it into a clip point Bowie)? I used a Dremel. It works so well I can't even describe. And although you may be purchasing it for the knife project, you will definitely use it for other things.

if you are in no hurry to get it done and can wait till i get caught up with other projects, i can cut it for you. all i want are some 1/2" sanding rolls for a dremel. just pay to get the knife to me and back. i hope i can get caught up before i go back in the hospital in august.
