How to be a proxy at Blade Show?

Anyone got suggestions? Have a friend of a friend that wants a knife from the show and asked me to proxy the deal. I’m hesitant but wanna help the guy out if I can. Has anyone done this before or have any suggestions for me? Thanks guys!

Basically you bring cash to the table and if you are able to get what he wants, he lucks out and you get him what he wants. It's reasonable to ask for a little cash to do the deal and obviously to cover your cost of shipping if he's not local, and also obviously it depends on if you can get to what he wants before it's sharked, since I presume it's probably something in high demand.

at that range, if I decided to do it, I'd either have them give me the cash for it up front - or have the mutual friend hold the cash and be the go between.
I would make it clear, that this is an "if I can get one deal", and that I am not running QC on these things to make sure they are flawless
