How to bend brass sheet?

I think I'm going to be spontaneous for once. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a drill press and the materials I need to make a traditional wood and brass balisong. I need to bend some brass sheet, probably .062" thick, into a u channel. I want to make a brass u channel and pin brass bolsters and wood handle materials to it. What's the best way to bend brass sheet without marring it and without fancy tools? Thank you for any help in advance.

nylon,rawhide ,or weighted rubber hammer . bend over a hardwood dowel or steel rod.
