How to bump a thread to the top

Hello guys. I'm new to the forum and need some help. I was interested in somebodies knife they had and sell and posted email sent but the post stayed on the 3rd page. Is there a way to make the thread go back to the top so the seller can see that I sent him an email? Thanks.
