How to buy someone else a membership?

I am trying to buy a Gold membership for someone else, and the "Paid Subscriptions" sections says: "If you are trying to buy someone else a membership you will not be able to use this automated system. Please use our Paypal option". However, I don't see any obvious PayPal option. If I trying buying a membership via Order button, it does give me a Paypal option, but I am not sure if this is it. Can someone please clarify? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks.
 
You are definitely on the right track. Click the link where you read that and get to the Paypal section. In the notes/comments section add a link to the recipient's profile, and explain that you want to buy them a (whatever) level membership. I've done that several times and it always works like a charm.

Nopes, did not work. On paypal's site, it just allowed me to login, and then "Pay Now". No Notes/Comments section cropped up. Guess I'll send a note to Spark.
