How do you buy things from people on this forum? When someone wants to sell somthing, ill see a person post "ill take it" or somthing like that and then the seller will say its sold. But then what happens? How do you talk to the seller and exchange the shipping adress, payment, and all of that stuff?!? And how do you know you wont pay the guy and then he'll just never send you the knife cause he already got the payment for it!?
 
If you post I'll take it, the seller has the option to sell it to you. He'll probably send you a PM with payment info. The sellers feedback is posted on the thread under join date and posts. His profile has a more detailed account. Just click on his avatar or name.
 
When you post "I'll take it," a paid member can follow up with a Private Message, or a Registered User can send email. To find the PM or email link, click on the seller's user name to bring up his profile.

In the email, confirm how you will pay and let the seller know your mailing address.

We have an overwhelmingly good record of honesty in buying and selling here. Using PayPal properly adds a level of protection. Do not use "gift" PayPal.

If you see a problem in the transaction, you can email your correspondent, or ask a moderator, or post a question in FEEDBACK, in that order.
 
Make sure you enable emails from members, as a non-paying member you dont have access to the PM system so to communicate you'll need to allow incoming emails.

The forums has a safeguard, when someone wants to email you they don't just get your email address, the forum sends an email from their address so if you don't want to respond they never even get your addy.
