Long story short for anyone that read my first thread I got the 103 finally that I thought I wasn't going to. Its a 1994 103 with cocobola handle new but not with box(he subtracted money since it was supposed to have box.)

I know this isn't a highly collectable compared to most on here at least monetarily wise but I want to keep this one on the shelf. My question is how to care for it. Store in sheath, out of sheath? Oil blade or doesnt matter on this steel? Anything to do on the sheath?

Currently sheath looks awesome and knife looks great except minor tarnishing on the brass.

Hobbiest,

The main thing is to keep the blade clean and dry. A lot of people store the sheath separately.

I store my knives out of sheath, I oil them regardless of blade steel and keep them in a box with dehydration packs

Keep your knife out of the sheath except when carrying it, they wipe it dry; put a little Tuf-Glide on the blade and let it stay on for about 10-15 minutes to soak in before wiping it off; if you have man made scales, rub a good amount of medical grade mineral oil on them and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before wiping the excess off and above all, keep them in a lower (about 32%) humidy so that the blades don't stain, rust or pit. After using it out in the rain, dry the knife well and apply some Tuf-Glide and wipe off the excess. Good question.
