How to carry my Mt, Man folder??

Just bought a Queen Mt Man folder with Honey Amber Worm Groove Bone scales. LOVE it. To my eyes just a big classy well made knife. I'll post some pictures when my kid shows me how. What I would like to know is what is the best way to carry it and not loose it. Currently I carry it on my hip in a Bianchi Leather pistol magazine holder. I have a para cord lanyard on it with a 2" loop near the knife and two trailing knoted ends. When the knife is in the holder I slip the flap through the loop and tuck the lanyard ends back between my belt and pants. seems faily secure but not real quick to get to. I put the lanyard on because when I get in the car the flap sometimes get unsnapped. I would carry it in a pocket but they are usually pretty full with keys change and a SAK farmer. Honestly the Farmer gets more use on a daily basis but I had to have the Mt. Man once I saw one here. Anyone have a better idea on how not to loose it?

Here is my knife. Now how do I keep it?

i cant imagine losing it from a belt pouch.

i carry only knives with clips, and havent had one fall out yet.

If you talk to Normark you could get some sort of Kydex sheath for it I'd imagine. Maybe something that is horizontal on the belt with the butt end of the knife sticking out so you can just tug on the lanyard to get at it? Have you tried carrying it vertical next to your wallet in a back pocket?

I used to keep mine in my back pocket riding vertically with a lanyard. It sat just to the right of my wallet and was very comfortable for me their. A sheath would be a very good way to carry it though.

If you don't like the lump in your pocket, I'd go with a small nylon or leather belt pouch. Me, I'd get a nylon belt pouch. There are generic ones available at places like Smokey Mt. Knife works. Measure the knife and choose one that will fit it.

The usual way you loose pocket knives is putting them on the ground or on a rock, log or something when you are using them, and then walking way. Try not to do that. :)

Good suggestion - thats exactly how I carry my Vic SAK Farmer for EDC.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I do have a leather belt pouch that Iuse now but climbing in and out of the truck unsnaps it sometimes and that when im worried about loosing it. Im a cop working plain clothes and really every pocket is full so pocket carry is out. Iv'e read posts saying that you should have a lanyard on your folder. when Im camping my SAK is always atteched to my belt on a leash. I was wondering what other lanyard types were being used and how.

Oh plain cloths, Try a vertical mounted belt sheath on your off hand side slightly to the front. nylon with Velcro, its noisier so you'll hear it if it snags opened. Also being slightly forward you'll feel it with your wrist. Works well with a off hand reverse grip draw, or strong hand cross draw. Even though its not a tactical knife. By the way you have good taste in cutlery.
