This really works! It worked for me on my Hinderer XM-18, which you wouldn't expect. I disassembled my XM-18 to change scales and clean and when I put it together and dialed in the sweet-spot on the blade it was not perfectly centered. Just slightly but noticeably off (towards the right side looking at the centering). I'm a bit OCD about this so of course I took it apart and put it back together again and it was still not centered. Panic started to grip me in the chest... So I decided to try the trick that a few people have posted here and there and had worked on my $33 Kershaw Cryo. It worked. PERFECTLY.

1) Loosen all the body screws. Don't take them out just loosen them considerably.
2) Tighten the pivot screw as tight as you can (no need to be extreme)
3) Push the blade over to the lock side and push a folded piece of paper between the blade and the right side scale. Push the blade so it is off center towards the other scale as far as possible.
4) Now tighten the body screws down
5) Take out the paper - the blade should now be off center but towards the lock side.
6) Now loosen the pivot screw and the blade will come towards center. If you do this right you can get your sweet spot to be dead center.

Cheers and good luck!

As of now I dont have any off centered blades. But when I do, I'll be glad I read this! Great info, thank you!!
