I don't have any experience with the axis lock but I'd loosen all the screws and then starting at the bottom of the handle tighten the first screw the the second one up and so on....
if all the screws aren't of near equal tension it can screw up the blade centering.....also I'd use a little blue lock tight on the screws so they don't loosen...

if this doesn't help follow these exact same steps but wedge a piece of cardboard on the side the blade tends to favour and then tighten the screws. I had an off centre 940 and this helped.
