I bought a couple 112’s from e-bay, both are in pretty good shape. One of them has some sort of dirt or grime in the pivot joint that I can’t get out. I’ve sprayed WD-40 in it (really soaked the pivot), and then wiped out all the access. Then I blew it with compressed air. I’ve done this process three times, and still, when I open and close the knife and can feel the dirt in the pivot joint. What is the next thing to try?
Thanks, Steve

My golden solution is a drop of dish soap on both sides of the pivot (edge and spine sides, if that makes sense), work it in by cycling the knife, but never let it open or close fully. Then continue the process under a faucet, with hot water running into the pivot. You can flush an incredible amount of crud out that way.

I got three small brass filings out of a gritty Case, and now it's smooth as silk.
