How to clean Micarta handles ?

Hello Everyone,

How do you clean the dirt and the oil from your hands off the Micarta handles. The grey micarta handles on my BA III look dark from handling and I'd like to make it look new again.

Is it possible for Busse to change the handles with new ones ?

I just picked up an ARK and I don't want to overhandle the Snakeskin Micarta handles for fear of getting them all dark from the oils on my hand. Thanks.
 
Just wash them with diswashing soap and scrub them with a toothbrush and they should come clean. If that doesn't work try Greased Lightening or Simple Green neither one should harm the micarta.

Use hot water and any decent soap. Scrub them with your hands or any abrasive, and they will come clean. It really is a non-issue, they come clean very easily.
 
Zactly. Don't even really need any abrasive in most cases.

THe oils from your hands don't get too far into the micarta anyway.
 
I’ve had plenty of them covered in fat and blood, most colors.
And as the rest have indicated dish washing detergent and hot water brings them back like new.
