I made a bunch of kydex sheaths last weekend and my ZT 0200 was clipped, tip down, in my pocket. The pivot area is now full of kydex bits, and possibly a piece of silica or two, from the sander.

What is ZT's policy on disassembly for cleaning?

If I don't feel like disassembling the knife, or its frowned upon by the manufacturer, can I just wash the knife in hot, soapy water, blow the pivot area out with WD-40 to get rid of any leftover water, and re-lube with a drop of oil?

From what I remember, ZT actually encourages their users to take their knives apart (so long as they know what they're doing). I've disassembled all of my Kai knives and never had a problem with sending them in for warranty work.

You could also try using a can of compressed air (the kind people use to clean out their keyboards).

No policy against disassembly. I wouldnt say they encourage it but they wont deny you warranty because of it. You can take it apart with some quality torx or you can wash in hot soapy water as you stated. ZT has your back either way.

I actually take apart every knife upon receipt, degrease (you have to use the right kind), apply Eezox to every metallic bit and put it all back together. Word of advice: the right tools are everything.
