How to clean your knife blades

With my sebenza, I do a full take down, wash every part with very hot water and soap, reassemble and lube. Regular cleaning after that is just spraying the pivot area with a air duster. With my fixed blades and other folders I just wash with soap and water.
 
hot water + Dawn + compressed air = clean knife.

If it is something more serious, I'll do a full takedown.
 
Depends, silt refuses to come out of some knives without a break down and flush.

I don't worry about what oil I use because break cleaner is cheap.

Hot water and a hair dryer work well to get the water out/evaporated also a hot knife wicks oil into the pivot better.
