How to clean

Hey all! Been a long while since I've been around. Went out hunting this year for the first time ever and got a deer. So I pulled out my JK knife that I haven't used in years and... well...I need to clean the rust off of it. Long story short, it got lost in a box when I moved and got a little rusty. Any recommendations for how to clean it up? It's my absolute favorite knife I've ever had.

0000 steel wool with some oil (gun oil, light machine oil), or even WD-40 should do it. Go from top of blade to bottom, not lengthwise.

BTW, that’s a rare model, a short version of my Combat 7. Only made a few, possibly only two of those.

Yes! It was a custom one for me. I still love this knife more than any other knife I own!

You have no idea how nice it is to hear that, especially since I can’t do what I loved to do anymore.
