Yeah, I know this one sounds real great

I reluctantly agreed to put a handle on an old pipe wrench that a friend had chromed (he's going to hang it on the wall of the car dealership he mechanics at).

It used to have hickory grips on it that had been splintered away. The sloppy cast shape of the handle was done away with (WinDanceer can attest to how dumb I am for agreeing to do this project, he saw the wrench). I reshaped it all so that it would accept Koa scales with a proper fit.

I had to remove the chrome from the handle to get everything to shape, and I just polished it back out.

Now my concern is this... If I look sideways at the cast iron handle it rusts

(Yeah, I knew it would

So should I put twenty coats of superglue on it or what ?!?!? Polyurethane?!?

Okay, now that I wrote a novel and abused the smiley faces, I'm going to go hover over the damn thing so it doesn't oxidize into the ground.

Thanks!
Nick
