How to correct a slightly bent knife tip on Sharpmaker?

Hey all:

I dropped my Benchmade 42 Bali-song and thank the lord the tip did not break off! All that happened was the tiniest bit of the tip, and I mean tiny, bent over, so when I am looking at the blade with the blade edge facing me i can see that the tip goes off to the right.

It is the tiniest little bit, just enough so that when I compare it to my other knives I can see that the tip doesn't come to the most perfect of points. Is there a way to correct this on the Sharpmaker? Will simply working the tip on the flat sides of the gray stones work that tip back to a point? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just dont press too hard.... The same thing happened on a BM of mine once in 154Cm steel... I pressed a little to hard the slightly bent part broke off...

When I find a knife with an edge like that, I use the dark/course rod from the sharpmaker, using the corner of the rod.
Good luck.

If all I had was a sharpmaker (I'd much rather use a stone to rework a tip), I'd take the stone out and do it by hand, not letting the tip go off the edge of the stone.
