How to Darken/Age Bone?

I have a Case Peanut in "dark" redbone that isn't very dark at all, particularly the pile side, as I could live with the mark side. Definitely looks nothing like the pictures I saw online prior to ordering. So, my question is; Does anyone know of a way to darken or age the bone scales? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you wanted to darken it to the darker "redbone" color either dark brown, or
deep mahogany in fiebings oil dye (not their regular leather dye).
Ken.

Tea huh? So, just soak it in a cup of tea or boil a pot and drop it in or...?

Just paint it on while it's still warm and repeat the process until it gets to your preferred color. I did this with a reproduction of a medieval dagger I was aging.
