How to delete photos?

I have a bunch of old photos that are not in attachments just sitting in the picture manager, that I can't delete?
They just have a question mark on them and when it's clicked on, it just says 'this asset is not being used'.
Is there a way to get rip of these? It's pretty cluttered in there and seems to save them every time a pic is uploaded.

any file names? only attachments showing up on my end for you have been uploaded in the last couple days.

It's not in my attachment folder, but when I open to upload. Here is a screen print.
If it's somewhere in my settings, I can't find it?

So when you go to your control panel (Settings, top right) there's no section called "Attachments" underneath the Miscellaneous section (left column)? Because that's where you delete them from.

It is but they are not, This is all that is listed.

But I get this error when I try to delete it?

Can you create a folder under the home directory and move them under there?

Yep, that seems to have worked. I created a folder, and then moved the files into it. The folder of all the pictures still is there however. I cant delete it.

Nevermind, I deleted the file, and it put all of the pictures back where they started. It's like they are ghost attachments, forever to haunt me.
