How to dismantle the sog fast hawk

Hello all,I recently picked up the SOG fast hawk for a really marked down price so I'm excited. Very nice at chopping. I was genuinely surprised about that. I really enjoy it. Except I want to try throwing it, but I want to put a wood handle onto it for that. Now I can't seem to get it off. It appears I'll need two star wrenches of the same size to do it, but I'm not 100% certain. your input will be appreciated!

Why exactly do you need a wooden handle for your SOG? What can the wood do that the synthetic can't do in this case?

So he doesn't bugger up the plastic handle I'd suppose. I'd stick with the Plastic man, it can take quite a beating and then some. Mine's hit rocks, trees, everything but the target I wanted it to, and it still is going strong. She may not be as pretty, but it's a tool. As long as it still functions, what's it matter? IMO it'd be more of a pain in the arse replacing wooden handles that may be weaker from being screwed in than the plastic anyways. Save yourself the frustration, stick with the plastic.

If/when it breaks, it should be covered by the SOG warranty. http://www.sogknives.com/warranty-info.html

You'll be going through a significant amount of trouble having to cut the tang channel for fitting the wooden handle to your hawk head. And that's to say nothing of properly lining up the screw holes you'll have to have drilled in.

here is what id do go to a lake river or large body of water throw it in go get a tomahawk that was meant 2 b thrown lol.
