I found an old link on this site to the runnningdog site that helped a lot. But, is there any other links floating around the web with some good tips and pics? I want to finish my wrap without the lanyard loop and am trying to figure out the best way to finish it without a lot of big ugly knots. Thanks!

On Criswell's swords I believe the end of the paracord is melted into the last part of the wrap.

Another tip... I've been told that if you heat up the cord, while wrapping, it will stretch some... but once you've finished the wrap, and the cord cools, it shrinks back down, pulling your wrap up really tight.
Havent had occasion tot ry this yet, but it makes sense, and I've handled some Striders, and I dont see any other way to get a cord as tight as they get it, you'd swear their handles were G-10 carved to look like cord if you didnt know better.

Good tip, satin.

I could never get my cord wrap quite as tight as the Strider wrap, though the difference is only noticeable if you're looking for it. Doesn't affect grip. I just pull really tight on the cord while I'm wrapping, it takes upwards of 30 minutes to do. Try to wrap the knife while it's in a sheath, or it's kind of scary having an exposed edge and tip flying around while you're yanking on the paracord.

The Strider guys clamp the blade and seal the end knot with a glob of superglue. You could try that.
