Does anyone have any recommendations on dressing up the ss handles? I am considering engraving or checkering. Can anyone recommend any people that do engraving or checkering?

Dennis:

There's a gentleman in central Wisconsin who has done nice work on SS Spydies. His name is Brooks Burt, and web site is http://www.angelfire.com/wi/brooksburt/index.html I saw him at one of the WI shows, he was charging about $100 per knife, so he won't break the bank. Worth your time to check him out.

Dennis, I would highly recommend Brooks for engraving, he does a tremendous job. He did a SS Calypso for me this past Christmas, awesome work.

I do have pics but can't post them, I'll be happy to email you them if you like.

Take care,
Tom

Is he the guy who sets up his graver in the booth and works at the show? Very cool!

Another endorsement for Brooks Burt. I heard of him here on Bladeforums. He did a beautiful job on my Almite Navigator. BTW, the Almite finish really takes well to engraving; more contrast between the surface finish and the underlying aluminum than with SS.
