How to enhance slippery Leek grip (besides grip tape)

I need ideas on how to reduce slipperiness of all metal handle on my Kershaw Leek. Grip/skate tape isn't really doing it. Any kraton-type of adhesives or other ideas you can offer me?

I would imagine one could add some grooving to the handle scales or maybe a neatly designed and well placed thin piece of textured G10 like I did on my hawkbill Ouparator and the "New One Just Up" that I just posted tonight???

Not the examples I wanted but it shows what I was meaning with grooving to improve the grip purchase of the folder on all metal folders. Just something quick and free hand like this can actually look quite well besides add some grippiness..

Yeah the only real trick will be threading those scales to hold an overscale but if nothing else I can get just enough to bite to do it or put some threaded inserts on the underside to thread down into. One way or the other there has to be a way to get two screws down to hold on and loctite them in place.

The only other kicker is that I am limited in thinner stock of G10 in texture to .060 black and .060 green/teal. I have hunter orange textured G10 also but its .080 thick and may be too thick for that small folder. Then again I could taper the edges by feathering them off some to make it appear as thin as the black or teal. Just haven't tried it yet to see how it would look.

Steve,
My minicyclone TiZDP189 could also benefit from additional 'grippiness'. I am using skateboard tape, but am unhappy with the looks. What do you think of the idea of doing some free hand machining/texturing to the Ti grips?

How old is your Ti Fred? My Ti seemed a little slick at first, but its wearing in now and feels more grippy (?).

What did you use to do that Steve? I kinda like that. I think it would look good with the OxyClean mod I'm going to do.

I used the small wheel attachment on my KMG is all I did. Well, that and then bead blasted and anodized.

I don't have equipment like that, so would you be willing to do it? I trust your judgement on pattern.

Sure if you don't mind waiting a while. I have so much going on at present I need to get done that I am thinking I need to halt all new work for a while until I can catch up.

Hope that is ok.

Fair enough. I will send it out (with a work request) in a month or so and you can work on it when you need a break from making all those BUSTR's. :D
