how to finish haqndle scales?

I just got a kit fro knife kits.com and the scales came preshaped for the knife however the screws sent for installing the scales just fall right thriough the holes in the scales. the holes are not counter sunk or anything. How do i attach these to the handle???????

if you recieved the wrong screws , contact knifekits.com and they will make it right. which kit did you order?
