I was getting out of my truck this morning and the clip of my investigator pen got caught on my seatbelt. This was the result.

I know that this has happened to other people as well. I also know that others have had an issue breaking the red locktite bond to remove the screw at the top of the clip. I tried like a mother to break it with just an allen wrench. No luck! So I decided to heat the screw with a soldering pencil to break the locktite bond. It worked! Yay!

This was my solution to bending the clip back. I reinstalled the clip upside down and tightened the screw. Next I bent it back by hand to its original shape. (Note: This method works great for XM clips also) Remove the screw, flip it back over, add a little locktite, and tighten up the screw. Done! Hope that this helps others!!! :)

Just wanted to add. If you don't have a soldering iron boiling water will break the locktite also.
