how to fix blade-play?

hi

i got an old Al Mar SERE Attack folder, the largest of the 3 types. it seems to have quite a lot of blade-play. anyone have any idea how to fix this or is that impossible? i believe the knive is a classic lockback-folder, but i'm not sure because i'm not an expert on locking-mechanisms ;-). the knife has got micarta scales with pins to keep it together. no screws whatsoever, just rivets. any advice welcomed.

Welcome to Bladeforums!! :)
Sometimes the rivets can be squeezed or tapped to get them tighter. Lightly tap them, too much and the knife won't open like it should. A small hammer or a vise can be used. Hope this helps.
