Hey folks,

the post’s title says it all really. It feels really rough, scraping and scratchy when I depress the lock button, as well as being unpredictably sticky which is pretty annoying because it’s my favourite knife, I just love the design, the brass, the blade, everyhing. Except that stick. Questions:
  1. is this fixable?
  2. if so how?
  3. how long will the fix last?
  4. are other owners of this knife experiencing the same issue?
Many thanks, Pete

PS I am a knaf n00b so please go gentle on me

Have you tried washing it with dawn and worm water.? Move the blade and the lock button while washing. That may loosen up any foreign material that is there. Then dry throughly. Compresses or canned air would help. Then lube.

You could also try flushing it out with Wd 40 or balistal.

Good suggestions, thanks man. I feel a bit of an assignment though cos I just googled it and lo and behold, a video on lock stick by a certain Mr. Shabazz popped up and recommended this $5 anti-oxide lube stuff wish I easily found on Amazon.com.

I'll report back how these treatments fair. Cheers.
